art break with EYKG

When I judge art, I take my painting and put it next to a God made object like a tree or flower. If it clashes, it is not art. Paul Cezanne

You, Monika Romstein, Ana Stjepanovic, Frances Patrick Da Gama and 13 others like this.

:iconalmanegra:William Hughes Beautiful, and should be even more relevant today , which to some extent it is, as with architecture.
Ellen Yustas K. Gottlieb very true about architecture, sometimes you can't present art without connecting it to the architectural element, not all pictures belong on a wall
Keith Fliszary Reminds me of Hundertwasser. He was a master at creating harmony and balance btwn architecture and nature.
Frances Patrick Da Gama Art is in the eye of the beholder, art is for peoples pleasure ;-)
Ellen Yustas K. Gottlieb another good point related to nature, for the PEOPLE'S pleasure
Jimmy Baker This does presume their is a god who is the creator you are comparing to. One might think that the tree or flower exists of an infinite combination of randomness and mutations, not conscious choice.
Frances Patrick Da Gama I love all forms of art. :-)
Ellen Yustas K. Gottlieb i love art that blend in with real life so well as if it belongs
Lori Ellison Art is in the inner eye of the beholder.
Ellen Yustas K. Gottlieb people deny art not realiizing they are constantly involved with it, slowly evolving to have an artistic eye, they just hate concept of artist. but love art.
Kathleen Casey If not for Art, where would we be? Who would we be? Why would we be?
:iconpoisonblackheart:Helene Forbes Had a great time viewing the Architect & Design Show at Pier 94 yesterday. A new Artists' Project addition to the traditional show was wonderful. Therefore, not just the art in architecture design was presented but original Artwork as well. I saw a lot of good talent.
